Restaurants & hospitality — fifteen years

Multiple employers · management + front-of-house

Fifteen years reading rooms in restaurants. Listening is the real power, and a room always moves faster than one person, so you learn to hold every guest's need and your own next move in the same breath. That's flow state, trained nightly for fifteen years — and it is the foundation of how I run client engagements today.

Trade work — patience layer

Anderson Electric · Central IL · present (part-time)

Hands-on trade work wiring telecommunications infrastructure. Most of it is repetition, and I grew to love it — headphones in, podcasts on, knowledge installing itself while the hands stay busy. The problem-solving is what I chase: trace signal through a physical plant, debug failures end-to-end. That discipline maps directly onto how I approach AI infrastructure and client delivery.

The camera came later. The models came after.

2022–present

First as a photographer, documenting the rooms and people the restaurant years trained me to read. Then the models — Midjourney, Kling, Flux, Nano Banana, Seedance, ComfyUI, custom LoRAs — picked up as instruments, not identities. Clients arrive with a glimpse of a vision; I find the moment inside it and build everything else around it until it holds.
