05 / RENDER & RECORD
For a smooth music video, use Render Every Frame. For a performance with mouse tools and camera moves, use Record Live.
Creates a new video from the current shape and camera, with synchronized music. It does not replay an earlier recording or mouse performance.
How to render a smooth video
- Load a music file. Choose its starting point with Track position. Playback can be paused.
- Choose your shape, camera view and motion settings. If the button says Resume, press it to enable animation.
- Choose WebM video, Full HD or 4K, 60 fps, and a clip length. Try 10 seconds first.
- Click Render Every Frame, choose where to save, and keep this tab open until the progress reaches 100%.
- Open the saved .webm video. Rendering may take longer than the clip itself; slow preview motion during rendering is normal.
The scene and controls are held while rendering, then restored. Automatic rotation works in Orbit mode. PNG frames + WAV is an advanced option: assemble the numbered images and audio in a video editor.
Records as you perform. Play music first to include it, then click Record Live; click again to stop. Keep this tab visible. Live recording continues until you stop it; the clip length above applies only to rendering.
Choppy recording? Try Full HD, 30 fps and 400 px image detail. Live capture depends on computer speed; selecting 60 fps cannot guarantee 60 captured frames each second. Use Render Every Frame for consistent final timing.
Quality & compatibility
4K / 8K and 120 fps are output targets, subject to encoder support. No resolution is reduced automatically. Exports contain the canvas only. All images and music stay on this computer.
